CHMP
The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, or CHMP, is the European Medicines Agency committee that assesses a marketing application and issues the scientific opinion the European Commission then turns into an EU-wide authorisation.
Why it matters here
A CHMP agenda is the earliest public place a European filing shows, which is why we read its monthly highlights; in our opinion its absence from those highlights is a fact worth printing, since it is a checked negative and not silence.
The committee publishes highlights after each monthly meeting. Its September 2026 meeting carried no psychedelic medicine (meeting highlights, 14 to 17 September 2026), which is what Issue 15 reported.
