What we cover

Psychedelic Brief is a weekly briefing on European psychedelic medicine: the trials, the regulators, the financings and the deals. It goes out on Tuesday mornings.

Europe comes first. American news appears here when it changes the European picture, not because it is loud.

We do not cover retreats, microdosing supplements or the consciousness conversation. Those are well served elsewhere.

Who writes it

Dhruv Shekhawat, from Berlin. One person, one issue a week.

The lens is capital allocation, out of a venture background: the questions we ask are which asset gets repriced, and who pays for it.

How we source

Every claim is linked to a primary source: a filing, a trial registry record, a regulator's register, a statute. Where we have read a company's press release rather than its filing, we say which.

Where a check failed rather than came back empty, we say so. A broken query and a genuine zero are not the same finding, and only one of them is worth publishing.

We are not neutral about weak evidence. An open-label study of twelve patients is described as an open-label study of twelve patients, whoever is quoting it.

When we get something wrong, we correct it in the issue rather than quietly.

How the ledger works

Every issue carries one falsifiable call. It states a resolution date and the condition that would prove it wrong, both before the fact, and the next issue scores it.

Calls are not quietly dropped, and a rule published as binary is never widened afterwards. Misses stay on the record.

Every call we have made, open and scored, is on the ledger.
